Minimal invasive therapy in periodontics, as well as other branches of dentistry, is currently under active discussion and is gradually being included in the list of the most common procedures for treating teeth and oral cavity. Periodontology is a popular branch of dentistry that studies the methods of treatment and prevention, as well as the causes and specifics of the occurrence of a disease such as periodontal disease. The subject of research is periodontology not so much the teeth themselves as the tissues that surround them (periodontium) and their pathological disorders. Periodontal organs include organs and tissues located near the tooth, namely: gums, jaw bone, mucous membrane, etc.
There is a list of preventive and therapeutic measures that relate to minimally invasive methods in the field of dentistry and periodontics, in particular. Among them:
• Laser prevention of the development of infections in the oral cavity, which is considered one of the most effective methods of treatment and prevention of periodontitis. The laser beam penetrates into the periodontal pockets and has a therapeutic effect on the affected tissues, as well as antibacterial irradiation and healing of the irritated areas. After laser treatment, the periodontal pocket remains completely clean from bacteria and inflammation, and further penetration of harmful microorganisms is prevented.
• «Sealing» of the damaged areas of the soft tissues of the oral cavity, in particular, as a result of the development of periodontal disease, which will prevent the development of the disease, further infection of the tissues and facilitate discomfort and discomfort.
• Cleansing of dental deposits in the area of the periodontal pocket of the gums, as well as the elimination of harmful bacteria at the junction of enamel and soft tissues.
• Remineralization of teeth, as one of the preventive measures of their diseases, as well as diseases of the mucosa. In the process, the correct amount of minerals is restored in the hard tissues of the tooth, as well as their enrichment with phosphorus, calcium and other elements.
• Sandblasting is one of the most effective minimally invasive methods to prevent the development of caries and infections on the surface of the teeth and in the oral cavity.
• Sealing (sealing) the recesses of the chewing surface of the tooth — fissure. A procedure that prevents the penetration of bacteria into the microcracks of tooth enamel and the further spread of infection.
• Micro prosthetics, as one of the most common dental orthopedic practices today. Allows you to restore damaged and damaged teeth without surgery, preventing further destruction and the development of infections that provoke periodontitis.
